Participating Schools

The MSAS program at P186X will run two days per week for three hours each day. The program will provide two hours of enrichment and/or intervention in literacy and mathematics as well as one hour of recreation each day.

Academic support can include but is not limited to computer based instruction, homework help, individual and small group tutoring, Read Alouds, and individual reading time. Toon Boom will be a required enhancement to assist students with expressing their conceptual knowledge of specific academic content targeted in the MSAS Program.

The recreational component will include physical education as well as drama and other forms of physical exercise.

The MSAS program will incorporate a modified PBIS program to help support the students to learn and maintain social acceptable behaviors.
